Powerhouse Partnership! Yingli Group Joins Forces to Drive Green Transformation of Malaysian Data Centers

Introduction

On August 13th, Yingli Group, Global Telecommunication Sdn Bhd (hereinafter referred to as "Global Telecom"), and Ecorise Solar Sdn Bhd (hereinafter referred to as "EcoRise") jointly signed a Memorandum of Cooperation Agreement (MoCA) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The three parties will integrate their technological, resource, and service advantages to collaborate on providing end-to-end green energy solutions for data centers in Malaysia, jointly promoting the green transformation of the local data center industry's energy structure and its sustainable development.

Qi Guoxin, Deputy General Manager of Yingli Group, Lee Chee Seng, CEO of EcoRise, and Sylvester Wong, Executive Director of Global Telecom, represented their respective parties at the signing ceremony. According to the agreement, the trio will jointly provide one-stop services tailored to the green upgrade needs of Malaysian data centers. These services will encompass green power supply, application of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage technologies, building energy efficiency retrofits, smart energy management, water recycling technology, and green operations management. Through technological synergy and resource complementarity, the partnership aims to help data centers reduce their carbon footprint while enhancing energy utilization efficiency and operational stability. This will lay the foundation for the low-carbon development of core digital economy sectors such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

"We will leverage our full industrial chain advantages in the new energy sector, focusing on emerging businesses like virtual power plants, zero-carbon parks, BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics), and green buildings. We will provide full-cycle support for the cooperative projects, spanning from technology R&D and product supply to comprehensive services," stated Qi Guoxin. He emphasized that the company's mature experience in PV, energy storage, and smart energy management will serve as the core technological backbone for the data centers' green transformation.
