On the morning of May 15, Yingchen (Xiong’an) Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yingchen (Xiong’an)”) and Baoding Institute of Technology formally signed a cooperation agreement on establishing a teaching and internship base and a photovoltaic power generation project. Guided by the national “dual carbon” strategy, the two parties will deepen industry–education integration, engaging in comprehensive collaboration across campus green and low-carbon development, new energy technology application, and talent cultivation, with the aim of jointly creating a model zero‑carbon campus that exemplifies collaborative innovation between academia and industry.
Under the agreement, both parties will, guided by the principles of “complementary strengths, resource sharing, and mutual benefit,” fully leverage Baoding Institute of Technology’s resource endowments and Yingchen (Xiong’an)’s technological expertise in energy conservation and carbon reduction. Employing market‑based mechanisms, they will systematically advance the optimization of the campus energy mix and the upgrade of its smart‑management systems. Specifically, the initial phase of the distributed photovoltaic power‑generation project is designed with an installed capacity of 10 MW, operating under a “self‑generation for self‑use, with surplus power fed to the grid” model: the electricity generated will first meet the school’s own needs, with any excess fed into the public grid.
In the area of talent development, the two parties will jointly establish a teaching and internship base. Yingchen (Xiong’an) will provide students in relevant majors at Baoding Institute of Technology with internship and practical training facilities, job opportunities, and mentorship from company experts; in turn, the institute will recommend outstanding graduates based on the enterprise’s needs, thereby supporting the company’s efforts to attract talent and drive technological innovation.
The two parties will also collaborate on joint research and development in the area of green, low‑carbon (zero‑carbon) campus development, jointly promote the commercialization of technological innovations, and explore new pathways for integrating industry with education.
Following the signing ceremony, the two parties convened a special symposium to further clarify the implementation roadmap and phased objectives for building a zero‑carbon campus, and reached consensus on the specific arrangements for launching the first phase of the distributed photovoltaic project. Both sides stated that they would take this collaboration as a starting point, continue to deepen university–enterprise cooperation, and contribute to advancing the development of a beautiful Baoding, as well as to supporting the green and low‑carbon development of the Xiong’an New Area and the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region.
Geng Jinlong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Baoding Institute of Technology, and Wu Zhenlei, Deputy General Manager of Yingchen New Energy, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations and jointly unveiled the plaque for the teaching and internship base. Secretary Geng Jinlong also presented appointment letters to the enterprise lecturers. Attending the event were Zhu Changbin, Executive Dean of the School of Resources and Engineering Technology at Baoding Institute of Technology, along with Vice Dean of Academic Affairs Yu Jiang; Wang Zhixin, Deputy Manager of the Human Resources Operations Center of Yingli Group; Kang Qiulan, Chief Engineer of Yingchen New Energy, and other representatives.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Yingli Group specializing in zero‑carbon campuses and international operations, Yingchen (Xiong’an) integrates digital‑intelligence platforms, energy‑saving and carbon‑reduction technologies, and financial instruments to deliver end‑to‑end services spanning energy infrastructure development, energy management, and energy‑carbon trading. “This collaboration with Baoding Institute of Technology not only marks a key implementation of the company’s strategic plan for the 15th Five‑Year Period, but also represents a proactive effort to serve the education sector and advance the decarbonization of university campuses,” said Wu Zhenlei, Deputy General Manager of Yingchen New Energy. Looking ahead, the company will continue to leverage its strengths in cross‑industry resource integration, work closely with partners, and roll out more replicable, scalable near‑zero‑carbon campus solutions, jointly forging a green, low‑carbon future.
